The KS2 class is taught by Miss Gerry Smith. Our Teaching Assistants, work in the KS2 class throughout the week.
In Class Two we are keen to promote independent learning. Pupils are provided with vast opportunities throughout the week to develop their skills of enquiry to help them find their love for learning in a style that suits them.
The whole school follows the maths programme from Hamilton Trust. This also involves using MyMaths to consolidate concepts taught. All pupils have a MyMaths login, where tasks can be set to be completed at home as well as in school.
Our P.E session this term is on Monday afternoon’s. Children can come to school dressed in their PE kits in readiness for these sessions.
We enjoy going out into our outdoor area on a daily basis, and therefore ask for all children to bring a coat into school. Children in Class Two are also asked to bring a pair of indoor shoes to remain in school.
Delivering education during a pandemic has proved to be an enlightening experience. The blended learning offer we provide allows pupils to use a combination of online and paper based activities to suit their abilities and needs. Children in Class Two are set work on a weekly timetable. This involves literacy and numeracy sessions each morning, with a range of Cross Curricular learning activities in the afternoons.
All work is set using Microsoft teams and can be found in the files section.
