Primary School Transport
To qualify for primary school transport, pupils must reside 2 or more miles from the nearest school, measured by the shortest walking distance, wherever practicable within existing transport routes. It should be noted that transport for qualifying pupils is only provided to the school that normally takes pupils from the area in which they live. Further information is available from the Admissions & Transport, Powys County Hall, Llandrindod Wells.
Application forms for school transport are located in the ‘Information and Admission Arrangements’ booklet.
Application forms for the provision of transport should be returned at the same time as the parental preference for primary school admission form.
Friends of Castle Caereinon School
We are a friendly bunch who enjoy getting together to organise fun events to help raise funds for the school. Each year we raise an enormous amount of money which is spent on priority items/areas for the school such as the ICT suite, ipads, clevertouch boards, low level playground equipment and the outside the Foundation Phase outside play area to name a few.
We work very closely with the school and our work has helped to make Castle School a rich and exciting learning environment.
Term Dates and School Holidays
When a child is absent, please inform the school on the first morning; either by phone, email or in person via the message book.
Absence which cannot be reasonably explained will be reported as unauthorised.
The school expects families to take holidays during the school holiday periods.
