School Newsletter

9th October 2020

Dear Parents,

We hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend break.  This is just a short Newsletter to update you with a few items in our run up to half term.

Parents Evening:

We have now been informed that these can take place!  Therefore, we will be holding a Parents afternoon/evening on Thursday 5th November.  These meetings will last for approximately ten minutes and will run between 1pm and 6pm and will be held via Teams.  Please can you indicate which time slot is preferable on the below link to enable us to collate the results and allocate time slots accordingly.  Please can this form be completed no later than Wednesday 14th October to enable us to give exact times to you before the end of term.

Awards:

We will be holding an awards assembly in school next Friday morning at 9.20am to celebrate the accomplishments of the children this term.  We shall be live streaming this through Teams to enable parents to watch if they wish to do so.  You will be able to access this through the account your child used for Facetime Friday during lockdown.  Please can you indicate on the Parents Evening Form if you would like to attend.  This will enable us to send invites to the correct accounts.

Cauliflower Cards:

Thank you to those of you who have already sent in your orders and money for Cauliflower Cards.   These need to be returned to the company on Friday, so please can all orders and payment be returned to school no later than Wednesday 14th October.  Many thanks.

Wear Yellow Day:

The children all look very bright and colourful today and have completed some wonderful activities in support of Young Minds.  Thank you for your support in this worthy cause.

Homework for Class Two:

Just a reminder for Class Two to bring their homework books to school on Friday 16th October to show the work that they have done so far.  These will be returned to them on the 2nd November to enable them to continue to complete their tasks in time for the Christmas deadline.

Flu Immunisations:

The Flu immunisation will take place for all children at the school on Friday 16th October. The immunisation is given via a nasal spray.  Thank you to those of you who have already returned your form.  We just have a few more outstanding, please can these be returned to school as soon as possible.

Half Term Holiday:

This will commence at the end of the day on Friday 16th October for two weeks. Pupils will therefore return to school on Monday 2nd November.

With the ever-changing rules and regulations surrounding Covid-19, we appreciate you may have questions or queries regarding aspects of school life that may be now different.  Please do email to ask if you have any questions no matter how big or small, we are more than happy to help and would prefer to address any issues directly to prevent any unnecessary worry.

Take care and stay safe
